A new multipurpose tower was designed for an area undergoing an urban transformation near the city of Algiers. The program combines different functions such as a healthcare and social services center, commercial premises, and a residential area for a total of 25.000m². At the base of the tower is a large shopping center with restaurants, and the healthcare center is located on the middle floors. The remaining floors are allocated for residential use. The project is located near the university and is well connected to public transportation, such as trains.


Facade solution
The volumes are hinged together and extend with broad cantilevers and terraces in different directions, forming a large park that promotes cleaner air and helps improve residents’ access to green areas. The facade, made up of horizontal strips of white GRC (glass-reinforced concrete), generates small overhangs to offer protection from the sun. The interior façade, on the other hand, varies according to the program it houses, generating a series of architectural solutions that all adhere to a similar
