On the seafront in the coastal town of Mataró (half an hour from the capital of Barcelona), is located Mataró Port Hotel, an aparthotel whose design adapts to the needs of guests and stands out for its dynamic and elegant aesthetics. Endowed with an excellent location, near the Platja de Ponent and a few minutes from the port and the train station of the city has been designed to take advantage of the privileged views of the place at all times, both from the terraces of the rooms and from the deck.

Facade
The layout of the building in its surroundings as well as the dynamic and modern aesthetics of the façade allude to nautical motifs, reminiscent of a yacht in its singular shape and layout. This bold and daring image is achieved by prioritizing the use of industrialized and modular elements. Finally, the incorporation of LED strips that run throughout the volume, contributes to reinforcing the dynamism of the composition and gives it presence and visibility in its perception at night.

Rooms and services
Access to the building is located on the first floor, where all reception, administration, and catering activities take place. It has a capacity of 150 rooms distributed over a total of six floors, with surface areas ranging from 20 to 70 m2, designed to meet all types of guest needs. All rooms are equipped with a full bathroom and a small office kitchen and have large terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The roof of the building, as if it were a boat, has a large infinity pool and a Skybar (bar and chill-out area). Both the roof space and the balcony terraces of the rooms have been designed with the aim of making the most of the privileged views of the place: a panoramic view of the fishing town of Mataró with the sea in the background.

Sustainability
In terms of sustainability, the design of the terrace running along the entire perimeter of the building will allow for year-round sun control. This, together with the use of highly energy-efficient materials and the connection to an urban air conditioning network (the Tub Verd Mataró network), will make this aparthotel a building with almost zero consumption.
