Spinner Tower Campus is the proposal for the university campus competition project located in Zaragoza, with 504 apartments grouped in 12 towers and in which common spaces are designed.
Parking areas and services
At the ground floor level, the emerging towers are grouped into 4 triangular-shaped floor buildings, each different oriented, that shelter the access to the towers as well as several services such as commercial offices to supply the campus. The space between these 4 triangular buildings is used to place a parking area for over 500 cars, and another underground parking that will air out naturally thanks to the disposition of courtyards.
Green areas and common rooms
The first floor has been designed as a garden for the inhabitants, a vast platform to establish a connection between the 4 buildings as well as providing a leisure area where students can coexist. We also find some common services such as storage rooms, laundries, or locals for a variety of activities that will encourage community living.
Tower apartments
From the second floor up, the apartment towers rise, every 7 floors in height with a capacity of 7 apartments per floor. The distribution responds to a radial scheme around an atrium, allowing natural ventilation and containing the common services: living rooms, study rooms, etc. The modulation used for the apartments grants the opportunity to obtain multiple distributional options, which will also have an effect on the façade. This, along with the non-orthogonal disposition of each level results in a visual richness that can be observable from any point of view.
